I grew up in Washington State. I moved to Ithaca with my husband Erik, who is working on his PhD at Cornell University studying Immunology and Infection Diseases/ Virology. After earning my degrees in Early Childhood Educational and Instructional Foundation Curriculum at Central Washington University, I spent a couple of years teaching kindergarten, preschool, 1st grade, and 3rd grade. In Washington, I also served as the Special Programs Bilingual/ Administrative Secretary for the Wenatchee School District and as an Educational Specialist at Washington State University. In Ithaca, I worked as an Infant Teacher for Bright Horizons for about a year. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting for special occasions like weddings, birthdays, etc., baking, and gardening.
