I grew up in Minnesota before venturing to the East Coast for college. After studying government and math at Georgetown, I spent five years as a middle school special education teacher in Baltimore while completing my M.S. in education at Johns Hopkins. Concurrently, I worked as the Children and Youth Programs Associate at Cleveland Park Congregational UCC, where I fell in love with the combination of deep conversations, laughter, and service that surrounds youth ministry. I recently moved to Locke with my husband Matt, who studies Information Science (robots + people) at Cornell. In my spare time, I sing, act, hike, and maintain my Minnesota accent.
