Kids & Teens
6th through 8th grades meet each Sunday morning for a combination of worship, bible study, outreach, crafts, cooking and conversation. We talk about what Christians believe, what people of other faiths believe, and how we can include the teachings of Jesus Christ in our lives.
9th through 12 graders meet twice each month with an adult mentor from our congregation. They may talk about current events, living a faithful life, life in our church, future college issues, bible studies and more.
Once each month the youth group will remain in the worship service and participate in Communion and serve as ushers and scripture readers.
The Confirmation class is designed for 9th graders and up but is open to any high school student who is interested in the confirmation process. The process of confirmation works to strengthen faith by helping participants draw connections between their life experiences, the traditions and practices of faith, the Bible and contemporary issues. The experience involves working with an adult sponsor, attending class sessions and volunteering hours in various areas of church life. Confirmation seeks to help youth in the development of their personal faith, the search for a compelling vision of God, choosing an ethic that affirms life, and finding the joy of community and common life.
